DW Claw Hook Clamp Mic Arm

Wie von DW gewohnt: Super Verarbeitung, schwer und STABIL! Ich habe damit ein Shure Beta 52 an meiner BassDrum befestigt und auch wenn man beim Vorbeigehen mit dem Fuß dagegen kommt: Da bewegt sich nichts!
Die Halterung ist vor allem gut geeignet, wenn man sein Set auf z.B. kleinen Drumrisern auf Festivals aufbaut: Kein zusätzlicher Platzverbrauch auf dem Riser durch ein 3-Bein oder Tellerstativ, flexibler Positionierung UND absolut zuverlässiger Halt!
Was mich besonders begeistert: Die Halterung ist mit allen DW-Hardware-Teilen kompatibel, sodass hier anstatt eines Mics auch ein Beckenarm für eine Splash oder eine Halterung für die Cowbell angebracht werden kann. Definitiv: Kaufempfehlung!

I'm trialling various ways of positioning kick drum mics on stage without using a mic stand to bring clutter down and so far this piece of equipment is the best yet.

It's advertised that it can fit on DW kits but it can fit on the majority of kits. It's easy to operate, it can be a little bit fiddly at times but I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to lose a mic stand for Kick.

It's reach in the drum is limited, if you want to get it into the shell further you might have to modify it. All in all, that's the only con I can think of.

At last, someone produced the design we all needed. This is a heavily-built, very stable mounting that attaches securely and offers good positioning options. It is compatible with DW hardware so you should be able to modify it with off-the-shelf parts if needed. I wish it could extend a little deeper inside the shell but the great majority of the time the position is perfect.
One disadvantage, you may need a shock mount. I tightened it securely on a kick drum played by a drummer who kicks hard, and it transmitted so much vibration to the mic that the mic fell apart, and so did the XLR plug! There is nowhere else for the vibration to go. For lighter players I haven't noticed any problem but maybe I tightened too much with the harder player. What shock mount to use depends on the mic but I would recommend using one if possible. This is why I removed one star.

It's over-designed and over-built, in a good way, so I have total confidence it will not come off or break. Ever! The bottom rod is hard stainless steel as thick as my thumb. I think it would be hard to find the right parts to modify it for a longer reach, but the potential is there.
