JAM pedals Retrovibe mk.4

Lovely univibe style pedal. Gives a certain vintage warmth to the tone when on. You could even use it as a sound colouration pedal when turning the depth fully down. The vibrato and chorus modes are very lush and go into very experimental territory past 12 o clock on the depth control. I might mention that some times the depth control seemed unresponsive but this solves itself by fully turning the knob up and down once. The ramp/tap tempo is a nice feature if you use it. I would say it departs a little from the typical univibe feel and enters more in a phasery esque territory. It might has something to do with it not having an optical light anymore. Otherwise great jam presentation and sounds. If you're looking for a very good univibe you have found it...if you're looking exclusively for 'that' Hendrix tone, you might be disappointed. One star down because it's not optical and it's quite pricey, but that's harsh criticism for an otherwise top notch pedal.
