Kala U-Bass Solid Body 4-Str LH TBG

Love this bass, I prefer short scale basses and also regularly use acoustic Gold Tone micro bass. I read some reviews and checked out some recent video tests from the usual YouTube suspects. All seemed impressed, and so was I. Being used to 23 inch scale I found the solid body Kala easy to play with no loss of intonation at the bridge end that can happen with U-basses. Great sound, really punchy, clear, and a nice tonal range to boot. The strings have less sustain obviously but still holds it own… works nicely for jazz lines and with treble opened up, cut through on some Rush riffs too. Great build quality for the price. Some minor adjustment on the action and the small tuners take a-bit of getting used to. This bass is already an essential addition to the collection and will feature on some tracks live when gigging .. in short, love it
