Droid Master18 is a powerful, flexible, configurable CV processing brain with MIDI and almost unlimited expansion capabilities. It's genius how easy it is to configure Master18 via its simple text-based ini file. The only limitation is, while there are 2 gates in, there's no CV in (You'd need a DROID master for CV ins) and none of the expanders give CV in. But my application doesn't need CV in: I'm bridging my modular to my Novation Peak by sending the harmonic context from the ACL Sinfonion (sinfonion link) to the DROID running a chord circuit, I'm also sending gates to the DROID, and it is sending chords to Peak via MIDI. I can also send DROID CV outs to multiple modular voices. It all stays harmonically related. This isn't scratching the surface of what the Master18 can do. It's not a 'swiss army knife' like Disting - although you could use it like that for CV if you wanted. Instead it's more a like a way to configure your own custom module or system. It's not hardcore to programme like Electrosmith Patch, it just uses a simple text file that you can type or create in the Droid Forge software. I did buy a P28B expander to go with this: overall one of the best bits of kit I've bought in a long while.
