Not a good Les Paul
Right out of the box, this is not a good Les Paul. First thing I noticed was the high weight of about 4,4kg. I really don't believe that an LP "needs" to weigh so much to be good, on the contrary.
Second, the frets were unpolished and scratched in a way that has become rare even among much cheaper guitars.
Third, the guitar was out of tune, and with a FR and new strings, it really takes a while to get it right (granted, that's a problem not unique to this guitar). But the FR's fine tuners were running in a rough, scratchy way, too.
Then, the neck is kind of, well, off. Not only the size, but also that it is so heavily lacquered that it sticks - absolutely no "wood feeling" there. The heel joint is supposed to be ergonomic, but it is still so hefty that it doesn't make upper fret access noticeably easier than with a regular LP.
And lastly, the pickups. My comparison is my lowly 2021 Gibson LP Tribute, with Gibson 480 PUs. They are entry level Gibson PUs, but they sound immensely better. Or in other words: Those harsh-sounding Epiphone PUs simply aren't good enough to make the Axcess a worthwhile Les Paul, and that can't be helped by their split- and outofphase-ability. Or the guitar's other gadgets and features. Or, sadly, its gorgeous looks.
For its quality as a musical instrument, it is much, much too expensive.
