Quick review to begin with but now I have had this guitar for a few days and I have revise my rating downward - although despite the flaws I shall be keeping this instrument as my main tool for my guitar duo.
Why? I'm getting on a bit now, and hanging almost 4 kilos of super strat on my shoulder for a gig was starting to get very uncomfortable after a couple of hours. So I wanted something lighter.
Pros: Light, mostly well made and set up, usual Sire rounded edged neck (as on my Sire basses - my main instrument) so beautifully comfortable to play. Multiscale/fan frets are not in any way an issue. Intonation and neck relief perfect out of the box. Action is fine, personal taste, I have lowered it. Comes with one of the nicest gig bags I've seen. Sounds great, 5 position switch for the two humbuckers giving coil split in positions 2 and 4. High output for a passive instrument.
Cons: 4 stars for features and one annoying set up snafu - the jack socket is recessed so my Mooer radio transmitter can't be used. And neither can any other wireless bug style set - I have tried the different ones used by the guitarists in the band I play bass for and none of them fit. This is almost a deal breaker, but by using a patch lead and a 6.3mm female to female connector I can put the bug in my back pocket. IMO this is a serious design flaw, and absolutely unnecessary, just dumb. The body shape means that if you are careful it can just about be supported on a normal millenium e-guitar stand. My Hercules stands can't accommodate it. And the setup error is that the 20th fret is 'dead' - too high on the low E string. Hardly a place I am likely to play often, if at all, so more irritating than anything, now I know it's there.
Conclusion: plays and sounds great. Fabulously light and comfortable to both play and have hanging from your shoulder. The jack socket placement is maddening and unnecessarily recessed. I will change the strings soon, and when I do address the raised 20th fret.

Una excelente opción en este rango de precios. Esto es fácil de deducir por sus características técnicas y se confirma con la guitarra en la mano.
Un punto muy interesante es la funda que viene de serie, semirrígida, muy cómoda, compacta, y que proporciona una muy buena protección, similar a una Ibanez IGBQ724-BK.
Mi unidad vino perfecta en acción y perfectamente octavada. Bien por eso.
No está documentado en muchos sitios, el selector de 5 posiciones, tienes las 3 posiciones clásicas, la posición 2 con las dos bobinas internas, norte y sur, en single, y la posición 4 con las dos bobinas del mástil conectadas en paralelo. Un sistema muy versátil.
Los afinadores correctos, precisos y suaves, permiten "mover" el indicador del afinador perfectamente.
Potes, igual, correctos, suaves, y progresivos, aunque todos sabemos que el nivel de progresividad es muy subjetivo, no se perciben saltos.
El selector mejora mucho en tacto al de una L7 del 2024.
Las pastillas te pueden llevar a diversos contextos con facilidad, y ya que esto es muy subjetivo, no voy a opinar, ni a relativizar respecto a otras guitarras.
El puente flotante es peculiar, requiere fuerza para manejarlo, y más peculiar aún es que no desafina la guitarra, al menos con el uso que le he dado. En mi caso lo dejaré fijo, prefiero el bending, sin palanca, sigue siendo útil para un vibrato o un suave dive actuando directamente en el puente.
Las selletas parecen de latón, un buen detalle. (para algunos)
La guitarra es muy ligera, aunque no tanto como la serie Q de Ibanez, y superergonómica; invita a tocar de pie.
Aunque el acceso a los últimos trastes es bueno, no es tan bueno en la 5ª y 6ª cuerda como lo es en una Ibanez serie Q, creo que es debido al diseño del abanico, el traste neutro es el 1º.
Al contrario que en otras Sire que he tenido, hay algunas sombras. Si desenroscas completamente los afinadores, el mando se sale, junto a 2 tuercas. Mal diseño.
En resumen, una guitarra muy válida por sí misma, independientemente de su atractivo precio, las maderas te dicen claramente por dónde se moverá más cómoda, y el mayor inconveniente que te podrías encontrar es que no te encaje el timbre de las pastillas.
