I
Great Guitar
Irishguitarman 25.06.2023
I've been playing acoustic guitars for years, but I decided to add a classical guitar to my collection in order to play the old classical pieces which l learned on.
I wanted a mid- range guitar - not too expensive, not too cheap. I was pleasantly surprised with this Ortega guitar. It has a great rich sound with a good finish. It looks great, the inlay is cool. The built- in tuner works very well - and it sounds super plugged into my amp.
I would recommend it.

K&
Quality solid top shallow bodied cutaway
Keys & Trees 21.10.2025
Very well made, attractive appearance, good quality woods used and construction, sounds very good (unplugged) for the price (the lower string notes have surprised several of my friends, fellow luthiers and me, as to their depth and resonance).
I can no longer play full depth or heavy acoustic guitars for long (due to health reasons) and this is a very pleasant solution.
Sounds good for Jazz, Latin and some Folk (I am not a classical player, (so this guitar needs a classical reviewer!).
If you are getting a decent midprice classical type lightweight shallow body cutaway guitar with a solid spruce soundboard top, this definitely worth considering.
IMO it beats models from most of the better known brands.
I have yet to play it plugged (I prefer open miking).
(I did try a laminate top Ortega before, and in site of good appearance and construction, this RCE14NT sure beats it - well done Ortega and Thomann!)
