More than just a sequencer

The T1 is an intuitive inspiration machine that ignites your musical passion and makes live performance an absolute pleasure!

When I unboxed this solidly constructed device and plugged it into my other hardware as a brain, everything didn't click right away. About 4 hours of patience and simply listening to the feedback of what I was doing, I can say that the workflow and tools available are awesome. Moreover, I can finally perform with my machines live with confidence and the ability to build suspense and really nail transitions, which often is either very difficult or impossible in dawless setups.

While it may seem a bit pricey, I think it's worth it. Of course, there are others on the market, but the T1 does exactly what I want and needed.

Unique, versatile, complex

This sequencer is one of the most unique tools I've ever worked with. Not only it can do euclidean sequences, you can program standard sequences as well if you want. For what it is it's pretty intuitive, however I would recommend to watch Mylarmelodies tutorial video (rather than reading manual, which I didn't like that much).

I sequence my Vermona DRM1 MKIV, Yamaha Motif ES Rack and Doepfer MS-404 with it. Since I was using Novation Circuit Rhythm to sequence Vermona before getting a t1, I am used to on-screen workflow (even though they are two very different beasts). After spending the whole day looking at a computer screen at my day job, I love having as least screen-dependant devices as possible.

I'm still learning and there are some things which I don't understand fully yet, but most of the functions are clear and easy to use. Since there is no screen, there are plenty hidden functions, so checking manual/tutorial videos is highly recommended.

The device is very well built - fully metal and quite heavy for the size (which is a good thing). I chose the white one just because black looks a bit boring to me.

Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a powerful sequencer with lots of tricks upon its sleeve.
