Kala Ziricote Super Tenor Ukelele

Ihr kennt sicher Cirilo,der auf Youtube Ukulele Tutorials macht.Als ich ihn mit dieser Ukulele sah und wie er sie spielt musste ich natuerlich auch eine haben.Habe dann bei Thomann bestellt...die g Saite knarrte an den ersten Buenden.Habe sie zurueckgeschickt und gebeten mir eine andere zu schicken.Wie bei Thomann ueblich,wurde nicht diskutiert ,sondern ich bekam gleich ein andere.Vom Klang,Bespielbarkeit und Verarbeitung gibt es in dieser Preisklasse wahrscheinlich nichts Besseres.

Last week I got my new Kala KA-ASZCT-ST, and after a week of intense playing, this is my review,
The shipment: I got my Uke two days before expected, despite being Xmas season. It came perfectly protected in a thick cardboard package and inside its case, which is more a semi rigid case rather than a soft one as described in the Thomann web page and I thought this was great. There were no signs of mishandling from the carrier and arrived in perfect condition.
The instrument: By the looks it is beautiful. The combination of the spruce top and the ziricote back and sides gives it a very classical look.
The construction is solid and all the pieces are perfectly fitted. I could not detect any flaws in any of its parts. The finishing is very correct, although it can be improved for a perfectionist like me, anyway nothing to complain about.
The sound is just great, not over bright, powerful and with an amazing sustain that makes my belly resonate as I play it. It keeps the tunning almost perfectly throughout all the scale from the lowest to the highest frets and I find it very easy to play.
Coming from guitar, the extended scale length is perfect for me, and the low G string gives me the bass I miss on standard tunning ukes.
The prize: It is an expensive instrument but comparing it with the selling prize in the US, I can say it is not overrated, as I often see with other kala ukes that in Europe almost double its reference US price.
In brief, I think it is a very professional instrument, beautiful and at a reasonable prize.

Es una mezcla entre sonido de ukelele con una sensación de guitarra. Al tener el Low G y ser tan grande suena más cercano a un ukelele barítono que a un Ukelele concierto.

Para mí el sonido es precioso. Tengo uno tenor Luna Guitars y otro Ortega, ambos comprados también en Thomann y suenan muy bien, o al menos eso pensaba, pero es que este es otro mundo, simplemente provoca que quieras tocar más, que quieras pasar más horas jugando con él, y que cualquier cosa que toques suene mejor.

Es muy fácil de tocar, las cuerdas que tiene se sienten muy bien, y la fuerza necesaria para tocar cualquier cosa es menor, lo cual ayuda a tocar más horas (al menos en mi caso)

La maleta de transporte rígida es muy buena, y también muestra que el ukelele que tienes entre manos no es un ukelele normal.

Lo único que no entiendo es porque no tiene ningún anclaje para un strap. Ya, es un ukelele, pero a mi me gusta ponerme un strap.

En resumen, si lo compras ya puedes despedirte de los demás ukeleles que tengas, porque no vas a querer volver a ellos.
