I'm a huge König & Meyer fan and own tons of their products, and found this a real disappointment. A small general-use tray like this fills a gap in their product line; it's been needed for a while, and I was glad to see it released. But the design and execution of this one falls far short of their typical products and is virtually useless.
The clamping mechanism has no rubber grip. Typically it is there to protect the pole it's attached to and provide extra stability. Instead, there's a transparent rubberized sticker, stuck on clumsily. It's so comically bad, it's almost a middle-finger from König & Meyer.
The finish is a roughly finished matte black powder coat. It may prove durable, but it doesn't match the gloss anodized black finish that is typical of all their other products. It looks cheap.
The tray attaches by a weak screw mechanism. Initially, I'd hoped I might have the option to unscrew the tray and use it atop a standard 3/8" threaded stand, like their other accessories in this category, but no. The screw is non-standard, hard mounted to the tray. It's a poor design and unstable.
I found this tray so inadequate and badly designed it actually made me mad. A waste of metal, time, money and anticipation. They can and should do better.
